Matchbox Twenty, Deadpool & The Walking Dead

Ok People, there's been a couple of things that's been getting me real excited... First off

Matchbox Twenty- She's So Mean

Matchbox Twenty is coming out with a new album! I'm such a big fan of these talented individuals. Rob Thomas has been a huge influence on me as a singer. And it's been way too long since they came up with fresh material! This first single "She's so Mean." sounds very much like it can garner lots of new fans. I hope this album works out well for them though, but with the state of record sales and reality of the music business... they might even do a tour and stop by our sunny shores!

Check out the official 'lyric' video below.

Deadpool- The Game.

The Fast talking, witty, mercenary from the Marvel Universe is gonna have his own game and it looks to be pretty fun. Not very much gameplay is seen in this video but the attitude and tone is very much set and it looks to be a lot of laughs and digital mayhem for the boys.

The Walking Dead Season 3

If you like comics you've probably heard of the comic series a long way back. The comics are beautifully drawn in black and white and it's a great thing to see an indie comic taking on such a life of it's own.

The creator, Robert Kurtzman is one lucky, talented guy. This comic series has exploded into a phenomenon with super high TV viewership, merchandising and even video games. BUT If you're not a comic fan but at least semi plugged into the TV world, you might probably have seen the DVDs for sale/rental in your local rental stores, HMV, Gramaphone or stores like that. This is not really a horror series. Yes, it has zombies but that's just part of the draw. It's just great drama. great characters, great effects and great acting. if you haven't seen season one and two. (They aren't long seasons anyway, the network wasn't sure if the series would take off so the first season was only 6 episodes or something like that). Season 3 is coming out real soon and the trailer looks just awesome. I know of anti horror chicks who've become fans of the show even. So boys, if you're looking for something to watch with the girls that isn't a chick flick, and girl's if you wanna show the boys that you aren't just a borinjg one dimensional chick lit lady, pop this into your dvd player. you won't regret it.That way, if we ever  meet... we can talk "The Walking Dead"!

Venomsaurus Rex!

There's not very much about the Venomsaurus Rex, except the fact that it looks awesome!

The Dinosuar appeared in a Marvel spinoff called 'Old Man Logan'. The Venom symbiote (which turns any living thing into a rabid but really cool force of alieness) spies on Logan bonds with a T-rex and attempts to destroy him.

In 2010, Sideshow Collectibles created a beautiful huge ass statue of this wonderfully conceptualized creature and the result is another thing I would like to add to my display cabinet.

WHAT A BEAUTY! RIGHT!? It's HUGE and it comes with an amalgamation of the venom symbiote as well.

Doll like things I covet

Goodness, I don't know why I can't grow out of my obsession with toys. Put me in an action figure/ sculpture/ figurine store and I will surely lose track of anything anyone is talking about. I am always impressed by these lifelike or bloody beautiful sculpts. They are all done by brilliant artists and very much a labour of love. I've tried to do some sculpting here and there and man, it's not an easy task.

There've been quite a few of these beauties that I'd love to own but hey, I can't just go buying everything that's cool now, can I?

Avatar Jake Sully Figure from Hot Toys

Look at how realistic the expression is!

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon this beauty while surfing the internet and good god it has not left my mind. Standing at about 18inches tall, I saw one for sale at a toy store the other day going for about S$300 but resisted the urge to buy it.
Beautiful detail in the hair.

It comes with a litte LED light up stand

ready for battle!

Bruce Lee 'Game of Death'

The most famous asian movie star ever. He's got a whole bunch of toys but this sculpt really caught my eye. I've got a friend, Nick who collects all kinds of Bruce Lee paraphernalia. I wonder if he's got this one.

 Poison Ivy Statue- Sideshow Collectibles

This is one good looking version of Poison Ivy. I wouldn't mind her gardening my plants at all.

Batman and Joker from the HUSH series by Real Action Heroes

I'm a big fan of the HUSH series of Batman. It was well written, with great artwork and an engaging read. Great crime comic. These two figures capture the look of the artwork from that comic series perfectly.

Joker from The Dark Knight: Hot Toys

The varying Heath Ledger head sculpts are just amazing. The talent, the dedication!

Dog Day Afternoon

Last week, I did something rare. I decided to take a little break and do something drifferent. We drove to the beach with my trusty Canon 60D and took some shots. (I can't just lie on the beach or anywhere else and do nothing. I actually feel that sleeping is a waste of time!) I also realized on that day that I need a lot more cardio exercise. Hope you like the photos

The Closing show

Voyage de la Vie- The longest show that ever ran in Singaporean history has finally closed it's curtains last week. I had a grand experience working with the brilliant artists, creatives, musicians and crew for two years of my life. I've made some great friends and have had some wonderful experiences. See you guys down the road!

The end of a run always calls for some celebration. I didn't bring my camera (a DSLR is kinda bulky to take to a party. Note to self: it might be time get a point and shoot) so here's some pictures taken by my friends.

Tron's Electric Light bike

I would really make the switch to electric cycles if the price was right and I could charge it without living in a landed property. This is way cool. Best of all, it's street legal and doesn't emit any harmful gases or pollutants in the air.

God Bless Ozzy Osbourne

This is one lovely documentary about the life and times of one of metal/ rock n roll's legendary front men- OZZY.

I don't quite understand how this full documentary is uploaded on youtube, it must flaunt many copyright laws... I've never seen this dvd in Singapore stores yet. I'd love to get this on bluray.
